Welcome to our thrifty website! We’re Emma, Michael, Jimmy, Louise and Jill and we love thrift stores and reselling other peoples second hand stuff. So much so, that we created a successful business all based on what was originally just a neat hobby of ours.
We wanted to share our experience, knowledge and passion for thrifting, and so we created this website for you to use to find and access thrift stores near you. This site is a great resource for not only finding local thrift stores, but also we give you useful information on deals each store has and any specific items they sell, an so much more.
So who actually are we?
Emma
Hi I’m Emma. I’m originally from Denver, but now live in Los Angeles with my son, Bradley. As a single mom, it can be hard to make ends meet and this is where I found huge savings in the local LA thrift stores. I have had so many deals and fun in thrift stores, that it’s turned into more of a opportunity to spread the word about these great places and that’s why I teamed up with the rest of our team to help promote this. My role with thriftstoresguide is our in-store researcher and I have the fun job of visiting all the great thrift stores and finding what makes them special.
Michael
My names Michael, and I’m the content producer for thriststoreguide. I take Emma’s research and produce the information you’ll read on our site about each thrift store. I’m from Alabama and have always had a love for finding a bargain. The bonus is that now I have been able to turn my hobby into a job which is so motivating.
Jimmy
Jimmy’s my name and thrift stores is my game! I’ve just finished studying computer sciences in my home state of Arizona and I now join the thriftstoresguide team to help them manage the tech parts of the website. I’m a bit of a thrift store nerd and so being able to combine this with my chosen profession has been a dream come true.
Louise
Hello, my name is Louise and I and one of the co-owners of thriftstoresguide.com. I have a love of all things fashion related and love spending my weekends wandering the streets over here in Florida, looking for my next fashion bargain. Shopping for a great deal in the many thrift stores locally has given me the experience to provide our business with the right information on what people like you are searching for online, making our website a great resource for anyone in search of a great deal.
Jill
I’m Jill and I’m the latest thrifter to join the thriftstoresguide team. I’m a 20yr old living in North Carolina, and already a huge thrift store shopper. My entire wardrobe is bought from my local thrift stores and so I love being able to promote this great method of recycling clothes and helping the community at the same time. This is my first real job and I hope it to last forever, such is my passion for upcycling!
